I got my squares from Annie’s shop on Abbeydale Road.

Half yard of green fabric and half yard of red. 1 yard each of wadding and backing.

Hello Ladies,

we are a week earlier than usual.

Tradition with a twist.

The beginnings if this design can be made from 2 fat quarters.

They can be two of the same colour group or contrasting, can be print or plain but previously I have made this up using all prints. The first two rounds of the design will measure 18 inches square and can be extended to make a quilt or used as a block.

I am making the demonstration piece into a cushion as I have given away the full quilt.

The block is made from Fabric A – one 6 and half inch sq. and 20 x 2 and half inch squares.

Fabric B – cut 4 x 6 and half inch squares and 16 x 2 and half inch squares.

As always the design is made more quickly by machine but can also be stitched by hand.

For those working on the round robin we will talk about layering and binding.

I look forward to seeing you all.

Cheers from Barbara
